GoCardless with Xero

GoCardless with Xero

One of the most common financial issues for startups is managing cash flow – keeping the cash coming in to cover your costs, without spending hours chasing invoices each month.

GoCardless has been designed to help with that, and provide a bunch of other benefits in the process.

As one of its certified accountants, here’s what we know about it.

How GoCardless works

In short, it’s a service that auto collects payments from your customers (with their direct debit approval), whether they’re recurring or ad hoc.

It is integrated with Xero, which means you need a Xero account to use it.

For a more detailed explanation of how it works, there’s a video on the GoCardless site here.

Why would you want to use it?

We’re fans of automating services and systems where it makes sense, because it frees you up to work on your business, not in it. In other words, it lets founders focus on much more important stuff than chasing invoices.

By auto collecting payments for your invoices, it makes you and your team more productive. You won’t need to spend less time chasing unpaid invoices and manually reconciling payments.

It should also make your customers happier. You’re not hassling them and they’re receiving a good customer experience from using a secure, easy to use payment method.

What does it cost?

The GoCardless prices are listed here.

And, they’re currently offering a deal through certified accountants like us, where you can sign up and enjoy no transaction fees for the first three months.

If you’re keen on this, you can learn more (and sign up if you want to) here.

Or you can always contact us with questions too. Otherwise, thanks for reading and go well (and cardless 🙂 ).
