Accounting 101 for Startups and Small Businesses [Hub CS MEL 19Jul]
Fri July 19, 2019 12:30 pm - 1:30 pmFree
About This Workshop
You didn’t found a startup to do accounting, right?
And yet, you’re a business owner as well as a founder and since accounting is the language of business, it’s good to know some of the core accounting principles. Not to mention that banks, investors and others expect it too.
In our typical easy-to-understand style, we’ll run through the core financial statements plus how they’re used, including terms like assets and liabilities, and cash and accrual. We promise we won’t talk about debits and credits!
And because we’re Xero fans, we’ll give you a brief run through of how these things look inside Xero. You’ll also receive slides after the event.
AND don’t miss the opportunity to talk to Remco about your business too. He’s running free private sessions straight after the event at Hub Collins Street. Pre-book in here and if you can’t get a spot, you can always book a separate call with him instead.
Did someone say free finance advice? Yes we did. Thanks to LaunchVic’s Expert-in-Residence program, Standard Ledger’s
Remco Marcelis is running a series of workshops from July to September at Hub Melbourne, covering everything startups and SMEs need to know about all things tax, finance and accounting.
Continuing the conversation on July 19, it’s time to immerse yourself in ‘Accounting 101 for startups and small businesses’.
